A new deal pairs a Kansas City-built global platform for working capital with one of the world’s leaders in blockchain-infused digital finance — enabling C2FO’s Instant Pay program to get businesses paid instantly using Ripple’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin.

C2FO, which boasts corporate headquarters along Kansas City’s Ward Parkway, announced the partnership Tuesday, noting the new financing and settlement setup is an extension of the company’s existing Early Pay programs — including Dynamic Discounting and Dynamic Supply Chain Finance — that have already helped businesses access more than 250 billion in working capital through the accelerated payment of approved invoices.

“We’ve spent years building a platform that gives businesses more information and control over their working capital,” said Ragui Selwanes, president and COO Americas at C2FO. “The next opportunity is to make the financial infrastructure behind our marketplace as efficient and connected as the experience we’ve created for customers.”

Here’s why it matters: Working through traditional banks, suppliers can wait 30 to 90 days to get paid — even when an invoice is paid early.

Instant Pay closes that gap. Capital providers fund the payment, it settles on XRP Ledger, using Ripple USD (RLUSD) for settlement in seconds, and invoice terms and due dates stay exactly as agreed.

“Working with Ripple and leveraging XRPL, we have built a new model for financing approved receivables that has the potential to broaden access to capital while preserving the relationships and experience our customers already trust,” Selwanes added.

Businesses will continue to access early payment through C2FO as they do today, the company said.

Purpose-built for institutional use, Ripple USD has grown to more than $2.5 billion in market capitalization, with more than $1 billion issued on XRPL. XRPL settles transactions in 3 to 5 seconds at a fraction of a cent, operating 24/7.

“Working capital is a powerful example of where blockchain can make an existing financial market work better. C2FO brings an established marketplace, real commercial activity and demonstrated financing demand,” said Markus Infanger, senior vice president, RippleX at Ripple.

Founded in 2012, Ripple is the leading provider of blockchain solutions rewiring the global financial system. With over 85 licenses, Ripple provides a single trusted entry point for enterprises with payments, custody, prime brokerage, and treasury management solutions. Ripple’s stablecoin, RLUSD, and the digital asset XRP underpin these capabilities, enabling Ripple and its customers to bridge the worlds of traditional and digital finance.

“XRPL is well suited to this use case because it can represent and move financial assets with fast, deterministic settlement and low transaction costs, while RLUSD provides a stable way to settle those transactions,” Infanger continued. “Together with C2FO, this creates an opportunity to address billions of dollars in commercial activity and make approved receivables easier to finance.”
