Intuidy will soon get even more approachable for the AI curious, Grayson Smith said, announcing the launch of a new, in-person event series intended to give builders in artificial intelligence first-time access to its platform.

The company is inviting engineers, business operators, entrepreneurs, students, and civic and technology leaders to bring their real-world problems to Spark Coworking on Oct. 29 for Let’s Build It — an evening of breakout sessions led by Intuidy’s team, engineers and customers.

The event is designed to connect builders with Intuidy’s AI application platform, which the company has used to build more than 40 custom tools to date.

“Getting an AI demo working [takes] a weekend. Building something a business depends on is a different job,” Smith, co-founder and CEO of Intuidy, said of the event.

“Everybody’s AI story starts with the model,” he explained, referencing the “easy part” of building AI applications. “What decides whether you ship is what’s underneath it, whether your systems are actually connected, whether the thing understands your business well enough to act on it … that’s the layer you build on Intuidy.”

Featured speakers include Grayson Smith; Gentry Smith, CTO and co-founder of Intuidy; David Lickimbat, COO of Intuidy; Myke Shaw, CEO and civic leader at Uwazi.ai; Miles Finch, agent and regional leader at State Farm; and entrepreneur Justin Gardner.

The event marks the first time Intuidy’s platform will be accessible to the public. Smith and his colleagues encourage builders of all levels and those who are AI-curious to register — hopeful to bridge gaps between those who build and those who operate, they explained.

“Introductions don’t otherwise happen here. The person drowning in spreadsheets and the person who could fix it in an afternoon work 10 minutes apart — and never meet,” he explained, reiterating his hope that the event can break down operational silos.

Civic and community leaders are also encouraged to join, Smith said, allowing them an up-close opportunity to experience Kansas City’s burgeoning AI community.

Let’s Build It is planned for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Spark Coworking. The event is presented in partnership with Startland.
