This fall hits different, Boulevard Brewing Co. announced this week, revealing a new collaboration with an iconic Kansas City tourist attraction. The homegrown brewery’s limited-release hard cider draws its crisp, sweet aroma from fresh-pressed apples culled from crowd-favorite Louisburg Cider Mill.

“We were really excited about the opportunity to partner with Boulevard,” said Josh Hebert, president of Louisburg Cider Mill. “Every fall, thousands of people come to Louisburg Cider Mill for a taste of the season. This partnership gave us a chance to take something people already associate with fall at the Cider Mill and experience it in a whole new way as part of their fall celebrations.”

Louisburg Cider Mill originated as a roadside stand in 1977 before developing into one of the region’s premier destinations with its country store and seasonal family farm near Louisburg, Kansas — becoming a household name synonymous with fall, Boulevard said in a press release.

Together, the brewer and mill crafted Old Fashioned Hard Apple Cider, a slightly hazy and golden hard cider, with bold, juicy flavors that alternate between slightly sweet and pleasantly tart. It features a 6.9% ABV and is now available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and draft throughout the greater Midwest and select outer markets. (The mill already offers its non-alcoholic cider through its country store, grocers and other retailers across the region.)
