Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Easy Orange limited-edition summer ale was so popular in 2025, the Kansas City brewery planned to roll it out again this year — long before Kansas City was announced as the FIFA World Cup base camp for the Netherlands.

Now the blood orange ale with a red-orange hue is captivating fans of the Netherlands national football team, which sport bright orange jerseys.

Earlier this month, NOS (Nederlandse Omroep Stichting), a Dutch public broadcasting organization, filmed a segment on Easy Orange at the Boulevard Tours & Rec Center at 2534 Madison Avenue.

The crew brought in Daniel Oordt, also known as The Oranje Suit Man, who dons orange from sunglasses to suit to loafers.

Oordt said the beer is already on the Dutch fan’s bucket list and Boulevard has “all the hospitality going above and beyond.”

The Dutch native lives in the U.S., but hasn’t missed a single Netherlands national team match in more than a decade.

“Since November 2015,” said Oordt, who is a pilot for a major airline so he sometimes flies for free, even hopping on cargo flights. “I’m a super fan. I travel to all the matches from the U.S. to Holland.”

Boulevard will soon debut its expanded second-story outdoor bar and patio space at the Boulevard Tours & Rec Center. It will more than triple the current patio space and feature multiple large-screen TVs for game watching, while offering a sweeping view of the downtown skyline.

The iconic “Orange Army” of Netherlands fans is expected to parade through Kansas City June 25 — when the Dutch team takes on Tunisia in the World Cup — for a fanwalk from the Power & Light District to the FIFA Fan Festival.
